Mike Kenny Wins Junior category and Brian O'Flynn wins Intermediate Category. Limerick Masters @Cil Na Mona
Strong performances from the club continues at the Masters
Saturday 24th May saw some challenging conditions at Cil Na Mona following on from the recent good weather we have been seeing. Strong wind gusts and intermittent showers in combination with hard greens made the conditions incredibly tricky for scoring which makes the lads achievements even more notable!
Mike won the junior section with a very strong score carding 114 (+6) for the day, a very impressive achievement in the conditions.
Brian won the intermediate section with an excellent carding of 104 (-4) for his 36 holes a score that would have seem him place well in the Senior's section!
Congratulations to both Mike and Brian from all of us at the club!
This follows on from the clubs previous strong showing in the Limerick and Clare County Matchplay back in April where we also had 2 winners in Ger Kehoe and Brian Andrews. Next month sees the County Strokeplay taking place at Ardnacrusha on the 15th June, we encourage all our members to take part and hopefully we will get to see a few more Ardnacrusha winners in the Strokeplay on home turf! In the meantime though don't forget our first club Major of the year, the historic Fogerty Cup which has been held annually since 1954 with the same trophy presented each year since.
